Total art dump! X-Men, Hellsing, subtitled Japanese movies, and miscellaneous original stuff.

Title: Iris 1
Subject: New character I've been working on.
Media: Photoshop Elements 4.0, tablet
Comments: I don't actually know whether this character is headed anywhere particular, but I particularly like her hair color.

Title: Iris 2

Title: Movement
Subject: Some red-haired girl pointing at something.
Media: Ditto above
Comments: My art teacher said this one was striking. I don't know whether that's entirely accurate, but it's okay.

Title: Versus
Subject: That guy from Versus. Obviously, toward the end of the film.
Media: Ditto above
Comments: I just realized that we never actually know any of the characters' names in that film. Weird.

Title: Wolverine: Profile
Subject: Logan, obviously
Media: Ditto above
Comments: Definitely a masochist. He's wearing leather in the desert.

Media: Ditto above
Comments: Wow. I got really creative with this one.

Title: Red Cross
Subject: Integra and Alucard
Media: Ditto above
Comments: Inspired by lavinialavender. It's not perfect - as she pointed out, Alu's head is a bit too big next to Integra's - but it's not awful. And look, blood!

Title: Moonlight
Subject: Wolverine and Rogue in the Canadian wilderness
Media: ditto above
Comments: My favorite of the bunch (along with Iris 1). Dedicated to my invalid Kitten, though she probably won't care, considering that she's not really a part of the X-Men fanverse.

Sooner or later I'm going to have to make some icons. I just now realized that. Also, a new layout is probably on the way, too.
Also - I just ordered the first of Neil Gaiman's Sandman books - and it's an autographed edition. Yay! Should have it in a couple weeks. Also ordered a couple more U2 singles and M's Pop Muzik. I have never heard anything by M, except for the tail-end of the title track from that album. Don't you just love buying totally random things on half.com?

New Hellsing fanart.

Subject: Integra. In backless dress. With champagne.
Medium: Medium-weight yellow paper, Prismacolor pencils
Rating: PG-13

I was wanting to experiment with white highlights on dark paper, and this is what happened. I'm rather proud of it, for a first try. This is very rough, understand; there was no outline sketch. (By the way, this is what I was working on when you called Sunday, Lavinia. Enjoy!)

Also, big news: I have ordered my tablet. (That's the first time I've tried writing that without caps-lock.) So... expect digiart within the next month or so. - Or not; y'all know what a terrible procrastinator I am.

These are all the sketches I've done since the last batch I posted. I'm such a productive girl.

This post: Hellsing and - no way - Alice Cooper as "The Showman" from Neil Gaiman's comic, "The Last Temptation." To even attempt to describe this panoply of peripatetic pleasures, this exhibition of extraordinary excitation and excess, would beggar the lips and leave me feebly mumbling. So I'll let you get on with the viewing.

Hellsing first, since they're older. And okay: I've been working on my chibi style, so I'll include the warning - chibi behind these cuts. Most of this is chibi, actually. So, caveat spector.

Name: Miscellaneous Hellsing sketches
Subjects (in alphabetical order of characters' names): Alex, chibi!Alex, chibi!Alucard, Enrico, chibi!Enrico (with Integra), chibi!Integra (with Alucard and Girlycard), Jan (with chibi!Jan), Seras, Walter, chibi!Walter
Medium: Bic pens of varying color
Rating: G to PG for guns, teeth, and excessive chibiness

Name: Noname
Subject: Integra and Alucard
Medium: Pencil (digital color on the second)
Rating: You tell me.
Final one of the Hellsing bunch - finished pic of Integra and Alucard, in b&w and again in color. I don't have Photoshop, so please excuse the suckiness - I might redo it once I get a more sophisticated art program.

Cookies again to whoever can come up with the best caption for this one, by the way.

And now, Alice:

Name: Miscellaneous Showman sketches
Subject: The Showman (pencil), chibi!Showman, chibi!Showman on ACT practice test, The Showman's Head (with top hat! whee!), The Showman on top of pillar, The Showman onstage
Medium: Pencil for the first and on the practice test; Bic pens on everything else
Rating: PG for creepiness and PIMP CANE.

Drop a comment if you're so inclined - criticism and witticism are both heartily embraced. And, of course, inordinately flattering reviews, as long as they don't embarrass me too much. ::winky::

I've been cruising through Solid & Etc's gallery the past week or so and I was inspired to draw. These are pretty rough sketches, for the most part, because they were all done in ink (BIC PENS ROCK ME) but I thought some of you might be interested.

Warning: a (very small) bit of chibi. I'm not very good at drawing anime style yet, but hopefully these won't be too painful (at least for those of you who don't mind chibi style in general.)

Name: Bolan
Subject: Marc Bolan. Beauuuutiful boy.
Media: Blue Bic!
Rating: PG for big hair.

It took me about 15 minutes to do this. Would've been quicker if I hadn't suddenly decided to smudge the ink with a wet finger. I about tore a hole through the paper, but it was worth it, I think.

I was in a colorful mood again. Oh, for the record, these aren't Prismacolors, but some heavy, difficult-to-blend woodless brand. They don't like my manila paper, but they look good on white.

I really like this one. I spent all Sunday working on it (excluding the couple hours I spent at church) and I finally finished it around 6:30 in the evening, whereupon I kissed it, declared it my finest work, and flipped the page to start a more anime-looking Alucard. (Sorry, folks. No Alucard in this post. Maybe next time.)
